MEDEX
Metal and textile accessories company MEDEX began operating in 1984 as a “Domaća radinost” (home-based craft) owned by Kate Medved.
The production program mainly consisted of textile accessories (curtains for train cars, tractor seats, flags, etc.).
In 1986, with the purchase of a production line for packaging clips, the production program was expanded. After that, the metal production program continued to grow with investments in tools for manufacturing wheels used in upholstered furniture production.
The “Domaća radinost” employed close family members and successfully raised three children.
In 1997, the company resumed more intensive operations and developed a production program for fittings for upholstered furniture (scissors, folding mechanisms, corner brackets, etc.).
In October 2000, the “Domaća radinost” transitioned into the MEDEX metal and textile accessories business.
Ownership was taken over by Ivan Medved who, alongside family members, employed two workers and soon after an additional four employees.
MEDEX
In 2002, through a public tender, the company purchased a production facility and land in Stari Slatinik covering 4,100 m². After renovating the facility and landscaping the surroundings with its own funds, production was relocated there. Today, MEDEX, together with family members, employs 20 workers. The production program is constantly expanding, and through visits to international and domestic trade fairs, production continues to advance and improve. MEDEX’s manufacturing is tailored to the market and evolving trends.
ABOUT THE PRODUCTS
The primary material used in the production of all our products is high-quality steel. A good product starts with good material that meets all requirements for strength, durability, and quality. For this reason, the quality of our products begins with the selection of premium raw materials. All metal components are made from steel sheet or steel tubing, which is derived from cold-rolled steel strip of St-37 grade. Plastic components, such as finishing and adjusting caps, are made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE). Our technological capabilities allow us to perform all necessary production operations — from raw material to finished product.
