Project description:
The project for increasing energy efficiency and increasing the share of RES in the MEDEX production facility in Stari Slatinik aims to significantly reduce the energy consumption needed to carry out its activities and reduce the share of energy obtained from fossil fuels. This will be achieved by implementing energy efficiency measures planned through this project.

Project implementation period:
26.10.2020 - 26.04.2023.

- "Funds are provided from the Operational Programme Competitiveness and Cohesion 2014-2020 and Operational Programme Competitiveness and Cohesion 2021-2027, from source 581 Recovery and Resilience Mechanism"

The project "MEDEX - Improving business processes by introducing ICT solutions" includes the following activities:
The project "Increasing Energy Efficiency and RES – Medex, owned by Ivan Medved, Stari Slatinik" is implemented with the goal of reducing energy consumption and reducing the share of energy obtained from fossil fuels.
The project proposal, in accordance with the main objectives of priority axis SC 4bI, includes the following measures:

1. Renovation of thermal insulation of the building envelope
2. Replacement, improvement, and installation of new lighting systems
3. Implementation of technological interventions in the production process resulting in reduced energy consumption and contributing to energy efficiency of the process
4. Installation of photovoltaic power plant

Installation of heat pumps to replace the existing heating/cooling system
The percentage of achieved energy savings due to energy efficiency and renewables for the project unit is: 48.90% = (121,569.09 kWh/year / 248,605.01 kWh/year) * 100

After implementation of all planned measures, CO2 emissions will be reduced from the current 71.38 tCO2/year to 35.52 tCO2/year, a reduction of 35.86 tCO2/year, or 50.24% compared to the current state.
